Travel to Cosener's House,
Abingdon, Oxfordshire


By air Abingdon is about an hour and a quarter's drive from Heathrow Airport and two hours or so from Gatwick, Luton and Stansted Airports. There are regular bus services to Oxford from each of these airports. From Oxford, buses to Abingdon (High Street) depart from the Railway Station and St. Aldate's. It is also possible to use train services to Didcot Parkway station via Paddington station (see below).
By rail Abingdon is about 5 miles NNW of Didcot Parkway railway station, which is less than 60 minutes journey from London Paddington. Didcot also provides connections to Birmingham, the West of England and South Wales. Taxis are available from the station.
By road:

From the A34 (northbound)
Take the A415 exit signposted Abingdon. Follow this to the centre of Abingdon, entering the town via Ock Street. Follow the one-way system around to the Vineyard (please refer to map), and turn right at the next set of traffic lights into Abbey Close. Follow this round (to the right, not into Waitrose car park) to the entrance to Cosener's House, by a public car park.

From the A34 (southbound)
Take the A4183 exit signposted Abingdon, turning left at the top of the slip road. Follow this towards the centre of Abingdon where it becomes the Vineyard (please refer to map). Turn left at traffic lights (opposite filling station) into Abbey Close. Follow this round (to the right, not into Waitrose car park) to the entrance to Cosener's House, by a public car park.
