Preliminary School Programme

The school will consist of the lecture courses listed below. The primary aims are to introduce the student to the accelerator physics aspects of the Neutrino Factory and the physics that it will do. There are also courses to explain the elements of accelerator physics necessary to understand the Neutrino Factory design and the neutrino detector requirements.

   B. Kayser (FNAL) tbc - Physics of Massive Neutrinos and the Impact of a Neutrino Factory
   T. Wilson (CERN) - Basic Accelerator Physics
   R. Palmer (BNL) et al       - Technical Challenges of a Neutrino Factory
   Y. Kuno (Osaka) - Slow Muons: beams and experiments
   D. Harris (FNAL) and
   K. McFarland (Rochester) - Neutrino Detectors: concepts and R&D priorities
   R. Bingham (RAL) - Neutrinos in Cosmology, Astrophysics and Space Science

The detailed programme is available as Excel and postscript files.

Copies of the talks and write-ups are available.

Photographs of the school are also available on a web page belonging to Malcolm Ellis.
