UK Neutrino Factory : World Design Study

World Design Study

After two studies in the US and one based at CERN, the idea of a worldwide collaborative design study for a Neutrino Factory has been suggested. This section (WP4) details progress in this international effort.

European FP7 Bid
Documents relating to the bid to Framework Programme 7 (FP7) for neutrino oscillation studies in Europe, with anticipated funding covering the 2007–10 timeframe.
International Design Study
The principal objective of the International Design Study of the Neutrino Factory (the IDS) is to deliver the Reference Design Report (RDR), required in 2012/13 and an Interim Design Report (IDR) in 2010/11 as a step on the way.
International Scoping Study
The international scoping study of a future accelerator neutrino complex was carried out by the international community between NuFact05, Frascati, 21–26 June 2005, and NuFact06. The conclusions of the study were be presented at NuFact06 and published in a written report.
