is a Networking Activity (N3) in the framework of CARE

(Coordinated Accelerator R&D in Europe).

Main Objectives

The objectives of the Target Working Group are:

To coordinate and integrate the activities of the European communities working on high power targets for the Neutrino Factory.
To maintain close links to our colleagues working on other high power targets such as for pulsed spallation sources and radioactive beams and in the USA and Japan working in similar areas.
Several different target designs are being investigated and it is hoped that a clear advantage in one of these will lead to a choice for the European Neutrino Factory.
To hold regular meetings.
To disseminate information, scientific and technical papers/notes on targets and related subjects. This Target Group web site is hosted at RAL.
