Subject: Friday meeting on acceleration
Date: 2005 March 10; Thursday 20:44
Hi All,
The muon collaboration has "Friday meetings," with the subject
changing every week, on a 2-3 month cycle. Friday the 18th (at 1:30
Fermilab time) is acceleration. I think we should give an update on the
electron model.
The question is how to do this. Should we do one "spokesman" talk,
or several smaller talks? Also, what do we want to cover? The topics I
can think of are lattices, magnets, kickers (although I don't think
Sandro can be there to talk about that), RF, facilities, and the funding
situation.
I'm not sure there is much detail at this point on any particular
topic other than lattices and possibly magnets. But by next Friday
there may be more. This certainly could be covered by one person
(Shane?), but for the hardware it might be nice to have an expert.
Thoughts and volunteers are appreciated. Thanks
-Scott
